Sacred Fire

Just like every year we are going to light the Ceremonial Fire again which will burn for 5 days. Sacred fires help to maintain the power and purity of an event or a ceremony, help to protect those who are present and to keep things sacred in the spirit of love. Such fires are also referred to as the Creator's Fire, since through this ancient element we can connect to Father Tengri (Creator), Grandfather Sun and the Holy Fire of Mother Earth's Womb in one of the most powerful ways. Fire is their gift, the manifestation of Spirit, the embodiment of the Everlasting Fire burning in the midst of the Universe.

The Sacred Fire and its surroundings are the place for prayer, silence, spiritual deepening, respect and gratitude. We kindly ask you to bear this in mind coming in front of the Fire.

Please do not put anything into the Ceremonial Fire except for the sacred plants that are kept in the Sacred Space.

Talk to Grandfather Fire from your heart and see what happens... To make sure you will have a safe trip back home after the event and a smooth re-entry into your everyday life, remember to go to the Sacred Fire before leaving the gathering. Offer some tobacco to Grandfather Fire and ask for grounding, assistance for returning to your centre and for being firmly rooted back into the present moment. Blessings

What is The Sweat lodge / Cserga or Temazcal?

It is an ancient ceremony practiced by most native peoples of Central and North America (although there are reports of its practice in other parts of the world too) to this day. The sweat lodge is a ceremony of gratitude, celebration of life, purification and rebirth, where the participants have the chance to return to the womb of Mother Earth in song and prayer, to heal their wounds and illnesses, and to leave behind the heavy burdens of the past.

During the five days of Sundeer, there will be 10 sweat lodge ceremonies after each sunrise and sunset in a dedicated sacred space representing the womb of Mother Earth. These ceremonies will be led by different elders who will support the Sundeer with their prayers.

Sundeer Rules

The Sundeer Rules or coexistence protocol intends to promote peaceful relations among the participants and guarantee that everyone feels safe, secure and accepted. Sundeer is a ceremonial space, hence it is in community that we strengthen a sacred environment of care and well-being, facilitating multiple healing processes of body, heart and mind. This requires special attention and respect toward each other. By following the protocols of coexistence we can unite and channelize the energies of the attendees in the same direction. It is also how we can honour the knowledge and wisdom of our elders from different ancestral traditions.
