Ceremonies / Sacred Spaces
How does the sweat lodge registration work?
The sweat lodge ceremonies have two starting times:
“Sunrise” 06:00 / “Sunset” 20:00.
You can sign up at the Information stand.
In the spirit of equal opportunity, we strive to provide every interested person the chance to participate in at least two sweat lodge ceremonies.
To ensure this principle works effectively, please follow these steps.
- Fill out the registration form available at the Information stand during lunch break, 12:30-13:30.
- With your signature, you acknowledge that you have read the ceremony requirements.
- If you have already participated in two sweat lodge ceremonies during Sundeer, you can only sign up for the waiting list for a third ceremony, giving others who haven’t participated yet the opportunity to do so.
- If you have signed up but cannot attend, please cancel your registration in time.
- If you are on the waiting list, it is your responsibility to check whether a spot becomes available for you.
Please carefully consider your participation, as the number of spots is limited.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
What should you bring to the ceremonies?
- colorful prayer ribbons for the opening ceremony.
- towels and appropriate clothing for the sweat lodge ceremonies.

Rules
Are there rules that you expect to be followed?
The expectations outlined in our “Rules” section aim to promote peaceful relations among participants, as we strive to ensure that everyone feels protected, safe, and accepted. Mutual respect and inclusivity are of paramount importance at all Sundeer events.
*The Sundeer organizers reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone whose condition or attitude does not comply with our rules.
What are the rules regarding alcohol and drug use?
The consumption of alcohol and drugs is prohibited, therefore bringing them in is also not permitted.
The entire Sundeer grounds are a ceremonial space, meaning that within a community framework, we strengthen the sacred atmosphere of care and well-being, facilitating the healing process of body, heart, and soul. This requires heightened attention and mutual respect. By following the guidelines outlined in our “Rules” section, we can unite and channel the energies of the participants in one direction. At the same time, we also express our appreciation for the knowledge and wisdom derived from the ancient traditions passed down by our elders.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is permitted in Sundeer’s communal areas but not in the ceremonial spaces.
We would also like to remind you that the consumption of alcohol and drugs is prohibited; please do not bring them to the event.
Tobacco used in tobacco ceremonies and pipe ceremonies has a sacred nature and is regarded as a tool for connecting with the spirit world. The use of tobacco for such purposes is accepted.

- dispose of it properly: e.g., bring bags for waste accumulated in your tent, and use the waste collection bins provided.
